Come to Thailand with us and experience a culinary tour of the country.  $2,600 per person for 10 days of exploring the culinary and cultural wonders of Thailand.  $1,300 due upon booking with final payment of $1,300 due by November 30th, 2015.  Our culinary tours are an amazing way to see and experience a country through it's food, off the beaten path and a unique insight into the culture! Flight to Bangkok not included. Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok and transferred from the airport to our hotel by a guide. Day 2: Amita Thai Cooking class, a home-style culinary school in a waterside location.  Arrive by boat and tour the instructors garden, pick herbs for class and learn to cook a wonderful meal that we will feast on. Embark by boat to Bangkok's Chinatown and have lunch at the famous Tipsamai Pad Thai restaurant.   Day 3: Tour 100 year old Nanglerng Food Market.  Not only a wonderfully historic market, but also rich with interesting architecture.  After the market tour and education, we will be taking Tuk Tuk's through the old city and then walk through the narrow streets trying various foods from street stalls.  After a traditional lunch we will be touring the Grand Palace and the Emerald buddha. Day 4: An hours drive south of Bangkok to Samut Songkhram Province to the Thai countryside and a tour of the amazing Hoop Rom Market (Mae Klong Railway Market) that sprung up along a railway.  This market hugs the railway and vendors scramble to clear the front of their stalls before the trains come by, then set everything back up.  It's an experience to behold for sure!  Then we will transfer to the airport to get a flight north to Chiang Mai. Day 5: An early start in Chiang Mai allows us to reach the mountain in time for the daily alms giving ceremony. Dozens of monks walk barefoot through the street collecting food and everyday items.  We will then climb 309 steps up to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep mountain to visit the 14th century temple and finish the morning with the northern curry specialty of a bowl of Khao Soy.  We will then travel by boat  along the rural Mae Ping River to the Wararos Market  and finally head into the city by traditional rickshaw and tour past the ancient city walls and temples. Day 6: We will start our day by touring a rice farm and even joining in on the rice planting! We will then head to the Pantawan Cooking School, south of the city to tour the local market, getting provisions for class, learning to make a variety of Thai dishes and eating the fruits of our labor! Day 7: This is a special treat of a cooking class with a Thai family, away from tourists and other commercial classes.  We are invited to be 'part of the family' for a day where we will tour Mr. Prapat's traditional Thai house and rice barn.  Home cooked recipes are different than what you find in even Thai run restaurants, so this is a great opportunity to learn true home-cooked food.  After lunch we will have the chance to tour Mr. Prapat's neighborhood and see some cottage industry goods of the region.  Back in Chiang Mai for the evening, we will tour the night markets and eat street food! Day 8: Our guide will transfer us to the airport for our flight back south to Phuket and to our hotel in Phuket.  We will have some down time and relax, getting ready for our next day in Phuket. Day 9: The day starts touring the market and stalls to get food and coffee in Phuket town and then on to visit an orchard on the island, and a shrimp farm. We will have lunch at local food stalls, then on to a cashew nut factory and an orchid garden.   Day 10: We will be starting the day with a cooking class at the Phuket Cooking Academy.  The Cooking Academy is set in a spacious garden with a large pond and surrounded by beautiful landscape.  It is a very quiet and serene environment for our last cooking class. Day 11: Transfer to Phuket airport for flight back to Bangkok.  End of tour

Greek Cyclades Islands Culinary Trip!

Welcome drinks and Dinner.      Day 2 - In the Morning we are going to visit a local food market to learn about the specialties getting ready for our afternoon cooking class in which we will prepare our dinner to enjoy together with some local wine.   Day 3 - This morning will see us visiting an award-winning Winery-Museum, where the family is happy to explain their personal history, the history of the winery, and the cultural aspects of the area and of course taste their wonderful wines. In the afternoon we will have our cooking lesson followed by dinner   Day 4 - Today we will learn about olive picking and visit a local olive oil mill.
